End-User License Agreement

1. Agreement to Terms
By installing, copying, or otherwise using Synclave ("Software"), you agree to be bound by the terms of this End-User License Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.
The Software consists of two companion applications: a macOS application and an Android application, collectively referred to as "Synclave."
2. License Grant
Subject to the terms of this Agreement and payment of the applicable license fee, the Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Install and use the Software on devices you own or control
- Use both the macOS and Android companion applications as part of a single license
- Use the Software for personal or internal business purposes
Licensing Model
Synclave is offered under a Lifetime License model at a one-time purchase price of $19.99 USD (or equivalent in local currency). This license entitles you to perpetual use of the Software, access to all updates for the current major version, and use on your personal devices without recurring fees.
3. License Key Validation and Activation
The Software requires a valid license key for activation. By purchasing and activating Synclave, you acknowledge that:
- A one-time internet connection is required to validate your license key
- License validation is performed through Lemon Squeezy
- Only your license key and a machine identifier are transmitted; no personal data is sent
- After activation, the Software operates entirely offline
- Tampering with the license validation mechanism is strictly prohibited
4. License Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Rent, lease, lend, or sublicense the Software
- Use the Software to develop competing products
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- Transfer the license without written consent
- Share or redistribute your license key
- Circumvent the license validation mechanism
5. Intellectual Property
The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. The Licensor retains all intellectual property rights in the Software, including source code, design, user interface, documentation, and trademarks.
6. Data Access and Privacy
The Software accesses data on your devices solely for synchronization between your paired Android and macOS devices. All data synchronization occurs directly between your paired devices over your local network (LAN). No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

7. Platform-Specific Terms
macOS: Distributed outside the Mac App Store. Notarized by Apple for security verification. Runs within a sandboxed environment where applicable.
Android: Distributed via the Google Play Store. Requires specific permissions (SMS, contacts, phone, storage, Bluetooth, network). You may manage permissions at any time through device settings.
8. Third-Party Software
This Software incorporates third-party open-source components. See THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md for attribution.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THE LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE LICENSE.
11. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Your rights terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination, you must cease all use and destroy all copies. The Licensor reserves the right to revoke license keys in cases of fraud or abuse.
12. Refund Policy
Refund requests are handled in accordance with the platform policies. For purchases through Lemon Squeezy, refer to their refund policy.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Poland.
14. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, it shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement remains in full force.
15. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Licensor with respect to the Software.
